About BAFTA 195 Piccadilly

BAFTA’s headquarters, 195 Piccadilly reopens to BAFTA members and for commercial events in late 2021 with an official opening set for early 2022.

The new building will double BAFTA’s year-round charitable work to find and support new talent across film, games and television; offer essential support to the industry; and ensure that careers in film, games and television are open to all.

Overall Purpose of the Role

The Waiting staff at BAFTA 195 Piccadilly are the front facing members of our service family. This would entail:-

  • Welcoming and greeting all guests who come to BAFTA 195 Piccadilly
  • To offer a friendly and informed service
  • To fully understand our offer
  • To maintain our high levels of service standards
  • To work within a team and be a professional in your department understanding all aspects of guests needs
  • To generate sales through up-selling and product knowledge to drive revenue
  • To meet commercial targets as an individual and to contribute to team revenue targets

Duties and Responsibilities:-

  • To understand both food and drink offers
  • To take all food and drink orders
  • To input all orders into the EPOS system
  • To take payments from guests and provides them with the correct change/receipts
  • To understand all licensing, health and safety and compliance requirements of BAFTA Piccadilly
  • To follow procedures and sop’s correctly
  • To inform guests of all the choices they could make at BAFTA Piccadilly
  • To support BAFTA Piccadilly by working in the service areas of differing departments, Club and Events
  • To have a strong knowledge of all food and beverage on offer and how to serve them to the standards required by BAFTA Piccadilly
  • To understand allergens and advise quests on the choices they could make around them
  • To keep all working areas clean and tidy
  • To keep back of house areas clean and tidy
  • To ensure uniform is correct and presented properly
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction at all times
  • To encourage upsells to promote sales and therefore lead to financial gains within the club
  • Someone who can create a memorable experience for our members and their guests

Requirements:

  • Previous operational experience within the service industry at a similar level
  • All applicants must have a flexible approach to their work and be adaptable within the other front of house areas
  • To be passionate about food and drink, in order to best present our offer
  • An excellent standard of presentation is essential
  • Successful applicants will work a variety of shifts, on any 5 days, based on a 45 hour week on any day of the year
