The Orange British Academy Film Awards
, event and souvenir brochure photo essay by official BAFTA photographer Phil Fisk
. The theme of the shoot was British Directors, featuring the likes of Edgar Wright, Danny Boyle and Gareth Edwards.
Phil Fisk: "My approach was to try and make the locations as interesting as possible, as if the portrait was part of some location "recce" for a future film. This wasn't always possible due to the directors’ schedules but in the end we improvised with the locations we were given and I feel the variety we got really says something about the British landscape, architecture and the individual. The series was shot over a bitter English winter so the pictures have a mood and darkness that is a staple feature of filming in the UK.”
