Yvonne Littlewood MBE

A British producer and director, who was a trailblazer in those roles at the BBC in its television light entertainment department. Although Yvonne Littlewood started at the BBC in the 1940s, she didn’t begin her trailblazing directing and producing role until 1960. This included directing The Friday Show (1960), This is Your Life (1961-1962), A Song for Europe (1961, 1964), the 1963 Eurovision Song Contest and the 1980 Royal Variety Performance. As a producer, her credits included Soft Lights and Sweet Music (1960), Tonight in Person (1965-1967), A Song for Everyone (1965-1969), The Sound of Petula (1972-1974), Nana Mouskouri (1971-1976), The Val Doonican Music Show (1976-1986) and A Royal Birthday Gala (1990). She was appointed MBE in 1986.
