An Irish character actor active in both the UK and Hollywood, O’Shea played Leopold Bloom in Joseph Strick’s Ulysses (1967), the villainous Durand-Durand in Roger Vadim’s cult favourite Barbarella (1968) and Friar Laurence in Zeffirelli’s Romeo & Juliet (1968). On television he starred in the popular sitcom Me Mammy (1968-71).
