The British Academy of Film and Television Arts has announced the nominations for this year's British Academy Children’s Awards, including those for the BAFTA Kids' Vote, an audience award that gives children aged 7-14 the opportunity to vote for their favourite film, television programme, website and game.

In the Game category, classic franchises are revisited with Mario Kart 8, Pokémon X & Y and Rayman Legends each receiving nominations, together with Tearaway, whose development team is led by BAFTA Breakthrough Brit, Rex Crowle.

The animated episode and interactive comic book Madron, produced for Welsh broadcaster S4C, picks up a nomination for Interactive: Adapted. Other nominees in the category include Disney Animated and Ludus. In Interactive: Original, four first-time nominees battle it out: Dixi, Makies, Mixels, and interactive CBeebies monkey game, Tee and Mo

Pokémon X & Y also appears in the Kids’ Vote Game nominee list, but faces tough competition from nine other nominees: Disney Infinity, Fifa 14, Frozen Free Fall, Just Dance 2014, Lego Marvel Super Heroes, Minecraft, Need for Speed: Rivals, Skylanders Swap Force and The Lego Movie Videogame

Voting for the BAFTA Kids’ Vote opened on 21 October at 09:00 and will close at 16:30 on Sunday 23 November. Children can access exclusive content and competitions via Fun Kids Radio and can cast their votes at www.baftakidsvote.org.

The ceremony will be held at the Roundhouse, London, on Sunday 23 November and will be hosted by Doc Brown. View the full list of nominees here
