Jonathan Sehring

A veteran of the film and television industry of more than 40 years, Jonathan Sehring is currently co-founder and partner in the boutique film distribution company Sideshow Pictures, distributor of 2022 Oscar-winner Drive My Car.

Prior to founding Sideshow Sehring held various positions at AMC Networks in a four-decade career with the company where he was involved with the production and distribution of multiple Oscar, BAFTA, Emmy, Globe, Cannes, Venice, Berlin and Sundance winning films and television programs, stepping down in 2018 on the 20th anniversary of his founding IFC Films.

An industry pioneer and champion of independent film, while at IFC Films Sehring produced more than 40 features ranging Oscar winners Boys Don’t Cry to Boyhood, distributed or co-distributed more than 1000 films including the second highest grossing independent feature of all time (My Big Fat Greek Wedding) and the highest grossing documentary (Fahrenheit 9/11), oversaw the construction of the IFC Center in Greenwich Village, pioneered day and date theatrical/on demand film distribution, developed and launched multiple streaming services including SundanceNOW and SHUDDER and launched DOC NYC, North America’s largest documentary film festival.
