Jon Katz

Motion picture and television producer Jon Katz’s credits include the upcoming Dali Land starring Ben Kingsley, documentary Dear Mr. Brody, the Emmy-nominated Paterno starring Al Pacino, and The Man Who Knew Infinity starring Dev Patel and Jeremy Irons. He is currently producing multiple features and episodic series, including a COVID documentary with a major streamer, noir drama Catching Dust, boxing feature Blue Blood, a hybrid scripted/unscripted sci-fi series, and series adaptations of several books. Jon is also the co-creator and co-writer of the forthcoming scripted comedy podcast series The Rubber Room starring Alison Pill, David Cross, Tony Hale and Patton Oswalt in partnership with Bill Burr’s All Things Comedy.

Separate from his producing career, Jon is a veteran business and legal affairs executive with over 20 years of in-house experience. He now has a thriving business and legal affairs practice serving television and motion picture clients including IP libraries, television studios, film distributors, and production companies.

Previously, Jon was the longtime COO and Head of Production of Pressman Film and earlier practiced corporate and entertainment law at Richards & O’Neil (later merged into Morgan Lewis). Jon received his undergraduate degree from Columbia University and his law degree from Boston University.
