Qingling's Story

Qingling Zhang, from Shanghai, was awarded £20,000 towards tuition fees, and a £10,000 bursary to support her studies for the MA Production Design at the National Film and Television School (NFTS). Qingling has a BA in Media Art Design from Jiangsu University, and completed her graduate diploma in Art and Design from University for the Creative Arts in 2016.

“As a scholar, I could attend the BAFTA events for free.  There are so many great events such as masterclasses, premiere screening shorts and so on. I have learned so much from there… I got Eve Stewart (The King's Speech) as my mentor who is very famous and my favourite production designer. That is such an amazing and fabulous opportunity for me.”
