Dear Members,
This week, we bid farewell to Matthew Wiseman, Executive Director and Head of North America, after 22 years of dedicated service with the organization. Following my trip to LA where I spent time with the BAFTA North America team and our CEO Jane Millichip, I would like to personally thank Matthew for overseeing a brilliant Tea Party which saw a host of BAFTA longlisted and nominated talent attend. From the venue to the tea itself, it was a fantastic way to kick off our Awards season. Thank you to Matthew and the entire BAFTA North America team for an elegant and star-studded event.
As our recruitment process for an Executive Director in North America progresses very positively, we are mindful of supporting the BAFTA North America team during this transition period. I’m delighted to say that Alexis Alexanian will take up the role of Executive on an interim basis. Alexis has been serving on the BAFTA North America board and brings huge expertise as a film producer and dedicated non-profit board director. She will temporarily step back from her Board role to oversee BAFTA North America until the permanent Executive Director is in post.
