BAFTA Young Game Designers Workshop at Euro Gamer Expo

On 3 October 2010, BAFTA ran Young Game Designers workshops in association with Megaton at the Eurogamer Expo at Earls Court in London.

Speakers at the workshop included Jonathon Smith of TT Games (LEGO® Harry Potter), Jonny Hopper of Media Molecule (LittleBigPlanet) and Paul Woodbridge of Relentless Software (Buzz!: Quiz TV), who explained how they design, make and market their games, and Mike Enoch of Abertay University explained how the prototype of the wining teams game will be made.

Attendees also had access to the Eurogamer Expo, where they got to try out the latest video games and gain further inspiration for their own design. Workshop participant Adam Shennan, aged 14, said:

I learnt a lot about games and how they are made and how anyone can come up with a good idea.
