On 13 August 2010, BAFTA Young Game Designers ran a workshop with Dare ProtoPlay in Edinburgh, Scotland.
The workshop taught participants how new games are planned, created and marketed; and provided tips on how to design their own. Speakers included Brian Baglow, Head of interactive Entertainment at Revolver PR, Gary Penn, game design guru at Dundee-based Denki, and Sally Greig and Robert Hamilton of Future Media & Technology at BBC Scotland. One participant, Elliott aged 16 said that the day was;
