PHOTOGRAPHS BY PHIL FISK To coincide with BAFTA Cymru’s An Audience with Sian Grigg on the 26th April 2019, BAFTA presents, for the first time in Wales, a free exhibition of recently commissioned portraits of women leading the way in the film industry, taken from the ongoing series For the Love of Film. The theme of Women Leading the Way was first introduced at the British Academy Cymru Awards in 2018. OPENING TIMES: MONDAYS - SATURDAYS 9:00 - 17:00 (Closed Bank Holidays)

Screening: The Fight + Q&A with Jessica Hynes + Ryan Eddleston

Tina, a busy mother of three, can barely find any time for herself. With her husband on nightshifts, her eldest daughter being bullied at school, her parents’ relationship on the rocks, not to mention juggling her own full-time job, she feels life overwhelming her. But get even more complicated when the reappearance of a former school rival forces Tina to face up to some difficult memories. Determined to regain control, Tina steps into the boxing ring and discovers how to fight for herself.

OBEY is about Leon, a nineteen year old boy with an alcoholic mother who has grown up in and out of care. Finally free from adult supervision, Leon begins to rail against the injustice of his reality as his dreams become more and more unattainable and distant. The clashing of two very different worlds results in a tragic love story in the heady days leading up to dramatic social unrest.
