A preview of ITV and HULU’s new eight-part series starring Samantha Morton and Lesley Manville as brothel owners in 18th century London.

Followed by a Q&A with writer and co-creator Moira Buffini, co-creator Alison Newman and actor Lesley Manville.

Inspired by the stories of real women Morton plays Margaret Wells, a brothel owner who struggles to reconcile her professional and private life when her brothel comes under attack from Lydia Quigley, a rival madam played by Manville.  Meanwhile Charlotte, Margaret’s eldest daughter played by Jessica Brown-Findlay, begins to grapple with her position as the city’s most coveted courtesan, and her immediate family.

The series is directed by Coky Giedroyc (What Remains, Penny Dreadful), China Moo-Young (Thirteen, Humans), and Jill Robertson (Brief Encounters, Vera). Alison Owen and Debra Hayward serve as executive producers alongside Alison Carpenter, Moira Buffini and Alison Newman, and Lawrence Till (Shameless) produces.
