Patrick Holland, Channel Controller, BBC Two

Patrick joined BBC Two in July last year and since then has overseen a wide range of content, including the series Hospital, Exodus: Our Journey to Europe and major seasons such as Black and British, White Gold, David Hare's Collateral and The Big Family Food Showdown. While BBC Two is predominantly a factual channel, Holland sees drama and comedy as a ‘vital part of the channel’s voice’ and is searching for shows with ‘intelligent wit’. He will drill down into recent commissions, share his ambitions for the channel and discuss ongoing opportunities for producers across a range of genres.

Prior to this role, Patrick was Head of Commissioning, Documentaries, BBC and before joining the BBC, he was MD of one of the UK’s biggest factual indies, Boundless.

This event will be chaired by journalist Benji Wilson.
