Meeting the shifting demands of a hungry for content youth audience is a difficult task. Our panel will discuss the opportunities and challenges in creating compelling, aspirational and distinctive stories that resonate with young people, in the different ways they consume content.
E4 has had an injection of £10million into its commissioning budget, with an initial emphasis on reality, factual entertainment and comedy entertainment shows for this year. MTV continues to invest in reality with universal appeal, including dating shows, as well as short form. Vice Studios, the production arm of Vice Media, is expanding its unscripted output and growing its business making youth focused content beyond Vice for other broadcasters and platforms.
The panel will highlight opportunities for producers, as well as for individual filmmakers and creatives with ideas, on screen talent and the importance of extending their brands beyond broadcast to reach this elusive audience.
