London lad David (Brough) visits Liverpool to track down the babe from last night, but he is sent packing by her bruiser boyfriend.
Walking the streets with only loose change in his pocket and a head full of nonsense, he stumbles into a betting shop desperate to win his fare back to London. Shop girl Tina (Elizabeth) gives him a hot tip on a dog and David persuades her to show him round the city. From the top of the gothic cathedral to the eerie statues on Crosby Beach, secrets are revealed, burdens shared.
