BAFTA and the Royal Albert Hall, in association with PRS for Music, present a conversation with screen composer John Powell. This is the latest in a series featuring world-class composers across film, television and games discussing their work on some of the industry’s most celebrated scores.

Multi-BAFTA, Oscar and Grammy-nominated John Powell’s career has spanned over 24 years with 75 credits as composer.

John has become the go-to writer for family animated films, scoring box office hits Shrek, Chicken Run, Ice Age, Kung Fu Panda, and Happy Feet as well as How to Train Your Dragon, which earnt John his third BAFTA nomination and first Oscar nomination.

Alongside family animations, John’s credits include Mr and Mrs Smith, Hancock and The Bourne Trilogy.

This conversation with John Powell himself will take an in-depth look at the creative process of composition, with a live musical element.

The event is now sold out.
