BAFTA Young Game Designers Workshops

We will be hosting 3 different types of workshop at Edinburgh Zoo on Thursday 15 February.

Workshops for those under 18 years of age include free entry to the zoo for the participant and one parent/guardian (any extra family members entry will need to be paid for at normal rates). Anyone under the age of 18 needs to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please provide name of accompanying adult when emailing.

Teacher/Parent workshop includes free entry to the zoo for the participant only.

BAFTA Young Game Designers Game Concept Workshop (10-14 year olds)

Whether you love to code, draw or write the story, BAFTA YGD gives you an insight into the world of game-making and a chance to meet game developers in the UK Games industry. This workshop will help you to develop and shape your initial idea into and provide tips on how you might develop it further. Visit our YGD page here

BAFTA Young Game Designers Game Design: Careers Q&A Session (15-18 Years)

Come and meet game developers who are currently making games in the UK. This Mentoring session aims to help you find your initial game idea and provide tips on how you might develop it further. Suitable for young people considering a career in game design or wanting to know more about how games are made. (Note: You are welcome to bring your game builds with you to playtest with other Young Game Designers)  Click here to view our YGD page with competitions you could be a part of!

BAFTA Young Game Designers Teacher, Mentor & Parent Workshop

Learn tips and tricks on how to get your Young Game Designers involved in Game Concept and Game Making. Resources are aimed at encouraging 10-18 years old to enter the competition and will provide them with all the information they’ll need on the game design process.
