A showcase of emerging UK writing talent for children’s media with industry guests from BAFTA-winning The Amazing World of Gumball: Tobi Wilson (senior writer) and Sarah Fell (executive producer).

The BAFTA Rocliffe New Writing Competition is a platform for new writing and a networking event. This September, the showcase will be chaired by team members behind the BAFTA-winning programme The Amazing World of Gumball including writer Tobi Wilson and executive producer Sarah Fell, who will critique three winning scripts performed by professional actors in front of a live audience as well as sharing insights into their own working process.

The format selects three ten minute script extracts from applications sent in by emerging writing talent from all over the country. This event will concentrate on the art of writing for children’s media and the pieces have been chosen by a jury of industry experts.
