Find out how we are reaching more people than ever before with our series of events around the country.
BAFTA champions and supports local talent around the country through our programme of on-stage interviews, masterclasses, panels and screenings. Working in close partnership with the Regional Screen Agencies, BAFTA in Cymru and BAFTA in Scotland as well as a huge range of other partners, over a third of our events now take place outside the capital.
BAFTA works with partners such as Sheffield DocFest, Showcomotion, Brighton Festival and Encounters Short Film Festival, to deliver events which bring you closer to the creative talent behind some of the best Films, TV programmes and Video Games. Highlights over the last few years include David Attenborough, Julie Walters, Stephen Frears, Shane Meadows, Stephen Woolley, Gurinder Chadha, Virginia McKenna OBE, Frank Cottrell Boyce, Paul Abbott, Andrea Calderwood and Suzie Templeton.
As part of our commitment to championing and developing new talent we have also toured the winning and nominated films from the Short Film and Short Animation categories to many venues and festivals around the country. Our Short Sighted Event, run in collaboration with Shooting People - which advises short film-makers on distribution and exhibition - has also toured to a number of venues around the country.
Our online learning resources are open to all and our ever-growing list of video webcasts make essential viewing for anyone curious about the workings of the Film, TV and Video Games industries.
