BAFTA-winning screenwriter, producer and journalist, his credits include Zero Dark Thirty and The Hurt Locker. Boal's recent release Detroit is his third collaboration with Kathryn Bigelow.

Now in its eighth year, the series exists to celebrate screenwriters’ authorial contribution to film, and gives esteemed writers a platform to share highlights and insights from their careers. The series is funded by JJ Charitable Trust, one of the Sainsbury Family Charitable Trusts and is created by BAFTA-winning screenwriter Jeremy Brock.
