Animation Reflected in association with Film London

A panel of visiting producers share their views of the UK animation industry and what international partners are looking for.

We’ll explore how the rest of the world views the resurgence of the UK animation industry, and hear expert advice on collaboration with potential international partners, from pre-conceptions to the impact of tax relief, and what skills and content they need. 

Followed by networking drinks.

Panel includes:

Eric Garnet: Co-founder GO-N Productions, an international animation production and distribution company based in Paris, dedicated to the creation of high quality animation for kids.  Productions include The Large Family, Tib & Tumtum; Tootuff; Commander Clark; Zip Zip; Lou!

Julia Jaensch - Manager Co-Productions & Acquisitions (Kids & Formats) at WDR Mediagroup in Cologne. Responsible for seeking out new co-production partnerships and overseeing all creative aspects of the production process.

Ken Katsumoto:  Executive Vice President of Lionsgate Entertainment Corp and Executive Vice President/Head of US Entertainment of Cinegroupe.  Directly responsible for the creative and business development and production of all Lionsgate family entertainment IP for past five years.  He continues to produce animated movies based on Marvel characters and a new animated film based on PBS series Arthur. 

Oli Hyatt: Co-founder, Executive Producer, Blue-Zoo Productions, multi BAFTA winning CG animation studio creating films, commercials, children’s tv series, branded content, apps and VR experiences. Credits include Digby Dragon and Tree Fu Tom.

Tipatat Chennavasin: Extensive experience creating interactive VR/AR and 360 video.  An industry spokesperson; VR advisor and mentor for companies and start ups around the world.  Entrepreneurial experience as co-founder and CEO of mobile game start-up Big Head Mode, sold to PlayFirst to focus on VR.

William Kan: Born to Entertain.  Multi award winning producer/director and co-founder of international animation studio based in China.
