Wales International Documentary Festival: My Grandfather the Spy (case study)

My Grandfather the Spu
Friday, 20 April 2018 - 2:00pm
Blackwood Miners' Institute
Writer and producer Dave Evans lifts the lid on long-buried family secrets in My Grandfather the Spy, revealing a hidden world of Cold War espionage, international jewel heists, and murder. From how Dave embarked on the project, bringing Ffilm Cymru Wales and BBC Wales to the table, to the ins and outs of Starline coming on board, as well as the technical supervision and guidance provided by Schedule 2, this session gives an exclusive, insider’s view of a real live title, right now in the process of distribution.

The film's producers will share a platform with Starline Managing Director, Ronald de Neef, and Chief Exec of Funding Invoice/Arc Ldn Aamar Aslam, to discuss and divulge their experiences of the film and TV business, from finance to delivery.

The session will be hosted by Director of BAFTA Cymru, Hannah Raybould.
