BAFTA members can now book tickets to watch a preview screening of The Indian Doctor: Series 2 on 8 February in Cardiff.
Wednesday 8 February at Chapter in Cardiff at 6:00pm (Cinema 2).
The new series of The Indian Doctor continues the story of Dr Prem Sharma, the high flying Delhi graduate, who has come to Britain in the early 1960s as one of the "first wave" of Indian doctors invited by the Health Minister Enoch Powell.
Now, a year after his arrival, Prem (SANJEEV BHASKAR) faces a new adversary, the evangelist preacher Herbert Todd (MARK HEAP). When an outbreak of smallpox threatens to bring catastrophe to the village, Prem finds himself fighting prejudice and incompetence and locked in a confrontation with the intransigent Todd for the hearts and minds of the villagers.
Inspired by a real smallpox outbreak in the South Wales in 1962, The Indian Doctor has a daunting journey ahead...
