TrueTube's creative director, Bob Ayres, opens the industry day of Cardiff Animation Festival with an insight into the award-winning website for schools.

TrueTube is a BAFTA winning website for schools that provides short films, lesson plans and assembly scripts.

TrueTube was launched in 2007 by CTVC Ltd, originally to encourage young people to make films dealing with the issues they cared about. As the library of films grew, the purpose of the site evolved to include lesson plans and assembly plans to help teachers use the films in the classroom. Today TrueTube hosts hundreds of resources, supporting thousands of students each year.

Bob Ayres

Bob joined TrueTube in 2010 having taught RE for 15 years in Kenya, Birmingham and East London. Originally employed as an education writer, he rose through the ranks to seize editorial control of the site, and now wields his power like a mighty sword. He's responsible for TrueTube's creative direction - writing, producing and educating.

This is part of the inaugural Cardiff Animation Festival.
