Wales’ International Young People’s Film Festival of Wales needs you!

Wales’ largest film festival for young people will take place from Monday 26th – Friday 30th March 2012.

Now in its sixth year, the Zoom Film Festival will build on the success of previous years, which has reached over10,000 young people across Wales.

The festival will be held in five venues across the South Wales valleys, and is an exciting mix of feature and short film screenings which have been locally, nationally and internationally sourced, exciting masterclasses, amazing workshops and an end of festival wrap party.

The Zoom Young People’s Film Festival aims to inspire audiences and young filmmakers from across Wales. A key focus of the festival is the cultivation and nurturing of young filmmakers through the Zoom Young Film Maker Awards (ZYFA)

What is the Zoom Young Filmmaker Award?
The Zoom Young Filmmaker Awards are designed to show the very best films made by Welsh children and young people as part of Wales’ International Young Peoples Film Festival.

Will each film submitted be shown?
Not all films submitted will be shown during the Film Festival. We will choose films by screening them for a panel consisting of Industry filmmakers and organisations. A panel of children and young people from the Zoom Film Council, who help us plan the Film Festival, will also be involved in the selection process.
