Award-winning brewery to offer ales and events as new official partner to the British Academy Cymru Awards
BAFTA Cymru and Tiny Rebel Brewery have today announced a new partnership which will offer the attendees at the 2017 British Academy Cymru Awards a taste of the award-winning ales from the Newport-based brewery.
Tiny Rebel is a family business, founded in 2012, and run by Newport’s Brad Cummings and Gazz Williams. Fittingly, their beers are inspired by films, pop culture and urban graffiti.
Hannah Raybould, Director of BAFTA Cymru said: “We are very excited to be working with Tiny Rebel as our Official Partner for the coming year. Tiny Rebel’s ethos of taking Welsh innovation to the world and supporting young people in Wales is close to our hearts and a shared goal. The fact that their ales taste fantastic and will add to the enjoyment of our guests at this year’s Cymru Awards after party is an obvious bonus!”
The brewery is expected to offer a range of their celebrated, multi award-winning ales at the awards after party at an exciting new venue to be announced in August.
The announcement was made to BAFTA Cymru members at a special networking night, the first of many, which was held at the Tiny Rebel bar in Cardiff where guests were offered the chance to taste the brewery’s numerous ales in an intimate event which was also attended by BAFTA winners, nominees, members and special guests.
Brad Cummings, co-owner at Tiny Rebel, said: “We’re excited to see where this partnership takes us. We’re huge gaming and film fans and we love to be part of the fun, creative culture of Wales.”
The British Academy Cymru Awards will take place at St David’s Hall on 8 October, with tickets going on sale on 25 August and nominees announced on 1 September.
