The British public voted for their favourite television programme of 2008 in the Philips Audience Award.

The Philips Audience Award for the Best Programme of 2008 is the only Television Award to be voted for by the public.

After over 22,000 votes over text, phone and online, Skins was announced as the winner at the British Academy Television Awards on Sunday 26 April.
