BAFTA TV Lab: Cross-platform Pitch Up! with Stellar
11 October 12
Call for Submissions
This is a twist on the usual Pitch Up! - our incredibly successful pitch competition series for TV ideas.
Now that cross-platform and transmedia concepts and stories have established a foothold in the mainstream, this pitching competition puts those with grassroots cross-platform stories in direct contact with those who can commission, fund or produce them.
You can submit your idea here
.
We will pick out the top 5 ideas and gather those lucky winners at BAFTA to pitch to a specialist panel to be Chaired by Alison Norrington, Transmedia storyteller, Consultant and the Chair of the Storyworld Conference & Expo in San Francisco. The rest of the panel will be ranged across funding streams, commissioners and production companies. Our panel feedback will include an invaluable round-up of the different production and financial opportunities available in the cross-platform world, so you’ll be hearing from real decision makers on how to make your ideas happen.
Even if you don’t get selected, you can still buy a ticket and benefit; case studies, tailored feedback and expert opinions, and above all a spotlight on the real and existing opportunities available to those wishing to create cross-platform stories.
The top 3 pitches get a goody bag, and the winner will get a follow-up meeting with an expert who can help signpost the next stages- and for any of the pitches in the spotlight there's always the chance to find collaborations amongst our industry audience or even meetings with panellist commissioners - it's happened before at Pitch Up!
The LIVE PITCH event itself is on Wednesday 5th December from 18:45, so please be sure that you are available on this date before submitting your idea.
Working with creative minds to lift the lid on the TV industry, BAFTA TV Lab events work to offer transparent, practical and inspiring insights into how aspects of the industry really work.
