Jordan Zachary

"SHERLOCK FOR THE WIN! BENEDICT AND MARTIN!"

Louise

(04-54-2012)

"The Appropriate Adult was good but not that good! Who votes for these?!?! Shame on you - there were other better performances."

J.Snow

(06-55-2012)

"Whomite be an idiot? Notice the International category? #Game Of Thrones is the best thing I've seen on TV in a long while. BBC4 should purchase it... It'll be licence fee well spent. I think it gets lost on Sky."

noelle

(06-55-2012)

"Benedict doesn't win this time either, BAFTA doesn't deserve SHERLOCK!"

Kate

(06-54-2012)

"Loved Spooks, would've liked to see them get an award."

Gwen Cooper

(28-44-2012)

"how comes dr who, torchwood or being human were not nominated. COME ON! Torchwood/Dr WHo/ biend human ROCKS!"

Whomite

(28-16-2012)

"What idiot said Game of Thrones? It's the British Academy Television awards you muppet, Game of Thrones is an American production."

Carmen

(28-15-2012)

"I am yet another unimpressed member of the public. I know many people reckoned the Sherlock thing was completely out of control but lets be frank. Sherlock is gold, and besides Doctor Who and Merlin, it's the top BBC stuff I watch. Now who, may I ask, didn't know how to turn on a television and get a dosage of Moffatt? Tumblr, youtube, lord, even Google+ will not be pleased. "

altynay

(28-07-2012)

"Are you serious? Where Benedict?OMG!!!!I"

Rafael

(28-06-2012)

"TAKE THAT BBC!!!! THEFADES WON!!!!!!"

Laura

(28-01-2012)

"Looks like Maggie Smith gets the Grantham Cup again. She shouldn't have been the sole nominee from Downton Abbey."

louis

(27-30-2012)

"GAME OF THRONES????????"

Bren

(27-29-2012)

"Benedict and Martin and Legends x Sherlock to WIN !!!!!!!"

CL

(27-21-2012)

"If 'Sherlock' doesn't win the Youtube Audience Award I think there is every chance that the entirety of people on Tumblr will go mental. Benedict really does deserve to win Leading Actor, it's not an easy roll to pull off and he does it effortlessly. As far as Supporting Actor... Well, it's a tough one to call, I can't say I'm not routing for Martin Freeman, but Scott and Mawle did a good job, I think that realistically Scott's going to be the one taking it home. Lovely to see The Fades up, it'd be nice for it to get something. I am presuming that The Bridge will be nominated for International next year or I will be gravely disappointed. "

Jaffafb

(27-21-2012)

"Military Wives and Gareth Malone - inspirational, so deserve to win. Good Luck!"

TheDetective

(27-18-2012)

"I love Benedict and Martin and Andrew! It's gonna be really tough choosing between Martin and Andrew as they are nominated for the same award!!! :("

theimprobableone

(27-39-2012)

"Benedict and either Martin or Andrew HAVE to win. They are such brilliant actors, and they all deserve it so much. SHERLOCK ALL THE WAY! "

SLH

(27-59-2012)

"Hope Brendan O'Carroll gets something. Mrs Brown's Boys Reminds me of old fashioned comedy that isn't trying to be clever or twisted. Just funny."

Andrea

(27-38-2012)

"Benedict has to win. He is is a purely amazing actor. As for supporting actor, i am at a loss. Martin should win for those amazing final moments in Reichenbach, but Andrew is an amazing Moriarty and that point where you started to believe he was Richard Brook. Sherlock definitely should have been nominated for more, it's the best television show going. Also, I would be extremely disappointed if Sherlock doesn't win the YouTube audience award."

Nicky

(27-37-2012)

"Completely agree that Colin Morgan should have been nominated as best actor"

Catherine

(24-54-2012)

"I really hopw Benedict Cumberbatch wins the Leading Actor this year- he completely deserves it! Its just a shame that Martin and Andrew are up against eachother-I wouldn't be able to choose. Fingers crossed for Sherlock on the audience awards too- If celebrity juice wins it will be a disgrace!"

Petra

(24-54-2012)

"As an outsider, from the Netherlands, but watching more BBC then I watch Dutch channels.. because most of Dutch TV is crap.... I am missing Being Human... Why isn't Being Human nominated for anything? A very well written series, with a good cast... I love it, and I think it should've been nominated... "

Annie-Louise

(24-53-2012)

"I really think that "Mummifying Alan: Egypt’s Last Secret" was Amazzing! Everyone should vote for this as you will not see it happen again!!! "

Darrin Keech

(22-46-2012)

"So happy The Fades has been recognised, just a pity the decision people at the Beeb can't see how good it is. Would just love it if the award went to the show, maybe, just maybe the 'clever ones' may have a change of heart."

Jeannie

(20-57-2012)

"Uh-oh... John Simm AND Benedict Cumberbatch are both nominated in the same category - maybe you can split the award this year, BAFTA - pleeeeeease?! And I hope David Tennant will be a nominee next year!!!!!!"

Leah

(19-52-2012)

"If Benedict Cumberbatch doesn't win best actor I may just do something crazy... and it would be great if both Martin Freeman and Andrew Scott could win best supporting actor..."

Rose

(15-52-2012)

"How in the WORLD was Sherlock not nominated for Best Drama?"

Karen Abel

(14-00-2012)

"Excuse me what about a nomination for NCIS in the international category and why has Merlin been overlooked ?"

Maos

(09-03-2012)

"BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH THE BEST********************"

K.T. Parker

(09-03-2012)

"It seems rather perverse that BAFTA's rule changes means 'Sherlock' falls through the cracks of the new crackpot definitions and cannot be nominated for best drama or miniseries. It's time to create some new categories, such as best made-for-TV film. Every one of the individual Sherlock episodes could be nominated in that category. So BAFTA - get your skates on and make it happen! In this age of instant communication, there's still time to put your heads together, come up with a list of nominees, contact the voters, find a celebrity presenter for the night and knock off one of those bronze masks to give to the winner. If you need a project manager to organise it, I volunteer! On a more serious note, I echo the dismay at the lack of nominations for 'Downton Abbey' (which has had such an enormous impact both at home and abroad), 'Shadow Line' (which I actually went out and bought on DVD) and actors Chiwetel Ejiofor (on the basis of merit rather than diversity), Christopher Eccleston and Keirston Wareing. Couldn't you get Youtube to sponsor a an audience prize for 'best performance by an actor' too?"

Panda

(08-45-2012)

"benedict cumberbatch to winn!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D"

Mary

(08-39-2012)

"Celebrity Juice is the adult version of Tiswas. Real celebrities willing to be publicly humiliated by the totally irreverent Keith Lemon. Loved Tiswas and love Celebrity Juice even more. "

jordan

(08-39-2012)

"how is being human not nominated for anything :O"

Duncan

(02-20-2012)

"Nice to see Rolf getting the attention he deserves. Watching Rolf's Cartoon Club as a kid has forged my career as an animator/illustrator."

Charlotte

(02-20-2012)

"Really disappointed that Merlin has been left out of the running yet again, especially since season four proved that they were more than good enough to stand against dramas such as Spooks and Sherlock. And not to mention the entire cast knock it out of the park every year. That said, all my crossed fingers can now go to Sherlock."

Amy

(01-38-2012)

"So disappointed that Colin Morgan wasn't nominated for best actor. He's amazing and doesn't seem to get any recognition. "

Karen

(01-37-2012)

"Where is the nomination for Sherlock in the mini series section............UNBELIEVABLE!! Although the fact that they are beautifully crafted top class films at 90mins just projects them into a different stratosphere.Huge congrats to Benedict Martin and Andrew who just shine and deliver performances that combined with the brilliant scrips and efforts of everyone on Sherlock we have the best series the BBC has ever put out. Re live it over and over on the DVDS...incredable. Anyway come on the boys!!!"

Agatha

(01-34-2012)

"one more miracle,one more BAFTA,sherlock~~~~"

rio

(26-50-2012)

" No Colin Morgan? "

Izzy

(26-50-2012)

"Sherlock hasn't been nominated for Best Drama? Moriarty won't stand for this..."

Chloe

(26-06-2012)

"I'm just going to chime in with everyone else to wonder why Sherlock wasn't at least nominated for Best Mini-Series... Is it because it's had more than one series? Also, how was Downton Abbey not nominated for Best Drama Series?!"

R H

(26-06-2012)

"Let's get The Choir: Military Wives to the top. Best of luck to all involved. "

Elizabeth Darcy

(25-05-2012)

"BAFTAs response to criticism below is ridiculous. This years nominations are purely a reflection on the personal preference of a limited number of people. Diversity? How many of your nominations are family oriented compared to those containing violence, drugs and sexual content? How can you offer an intelligent choice if you ignore the success of series like Downton and Sherlock? You've exposed your organisation to criticism and public distrust."

Gracie

(25-49-2012)

"Why have no international actors been nominated for individual awards? The Danish series in particular have been some of the best programmes on TV."

Gen

(25-42-2012)

"Completely gobsmacked that Sherlock didn't get nominated for best drama.. You've gotta be completely balmy to get that wrong! Go Martin and Andrew!! They should share it!! They're both absolutely incredible!!"

Jess

(25-41-2012)

"So happy Andrew Scott is nominated! His Moriarty was outstanding and he acted it with a stunningly perfect balance between evil, insanity and pantomime."

PaulC

(25-41-2012)

"All the best to Gareth Malone and all involved in the inspirational "The Choir - Military Wives" In the factual series catagory. Great feel good telly!"

laya

(25-50-2012)

"sherlock is very good!!!!!!!!!! benedict cumberbatch is a good actor!!!!!!!"

Christina Jules

(25-12-2012)

"Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman, please! As well as Sherlock for YouTube Audience award!"

Jess

(24-56-2012)

"COME ON SHERLOCK!!! Benadict and Martin pleaseeee:D "

sdfsdf

(24-56-2012)

"Bit disappointed Sherlock's not nominated for best drama this year as well, seeing how season 2 is even more brilliant than the first one. "

Alexandra

(24-44-2012)

"I'm so happy to see The Fades nominated for drama! I hope it wins and then BBC3 realizes what a mistake they made in canceling it. They could've kept it, promoted it this time, and ended up with their own version of Misfits."

Debra

(24-44-2012)

"It's time to finally give John Simm the accolades he's deserved for many years. This man is the Best Actor."

Harriet

(24-44-2012)

"I don't think Celebrity Juice should have been nominated, I find it silly and unfunny. Sherlock should have been nominated, it's so unfair! I think thats there's so many shows and actors/actresses they've missed off that really deserve to be there."

Holly

(24-44-2012)

"I want every sherlock nomination to win! "

V

(24-43-2012)

"Um, Luther?? Idris Elba? Downton Abbey? I can't even take these nominations seriously with these glaring omissions. Ridiculous."

BAFTA

(24-43-2012)

"The nominations for this year’s Television Awards have been drawn from a very strong field, recognising a range of talent, both established and new, and creating many first-time nominees. The Academy takes diversity very seriously and you can access our diversity pledge via this link... http://www.bafta.org/about/diversity-pledge,3261,BA.html ... BAFTA works year round, through a programme of Learning & Events, to nurture a more diverse talent base across the Television, Film and Video Games industries. You can find out more about our programme of events by visiting... www.bafta.org/guru . We will ensure the TV Committee are made aware of your comments."

mimi

(24-29-2012)

"S2 was so good, it's a shame it is not in the best drama only for the formal episodes number. Although generally Sherlock is doing well with three actors nominations and the youtube one. It is also odd not to see downton nominated..."

Rob

(24-28-2012)

"No Chiwetel Ejiofor for Shadow Line. No Idris Elba for Luther. How white is BAFTA. BAFTA and the British Television Industry should hang it’s racist head in shame! Stay in the States gentlemen and they will give you Golden Globes and Emmy’s! "

lizzie

(24-28-2012)

"Andrew Scott and Freeman both nominated -probably the best worst situation to be in :) Everyone involved in the making of Sherlock deserves an award...literally every element of it is brilliant. "

Logan Jones

(24-28-2012)

"I think I saw only one nomination for Birdsong. What about Eddie Redmayne, Clémence Poésy, and the program itself? Plus where was a nomination for Darren Boyd as John Cleese in Holy Flying Circus?"

Stephen Bourne

(24-27-2012)

"Instituitional racism again...no Idris Elba for Luther or Ruth Negga for Shirley (Bassey). Shame on you BAFTA members!"

Melissa

(24-11-2012)

"I mean, I'm glad that Ben and Martin and Andrew were nominated, and I hope Benedict wins and Martin or Andrew win- but I wish Sherlock was nominated for more than just that. "

Sarah

(24-10-2012)

"Love/Hate should have been nominated in the International category, it was a phenomenal series that deserves international recognition."

Ben

(24-36-2012)

"'United' starring David Tennent is nowhere to be seen!! What??? Is it because it was early last year! Not nominated for single drama and him for best actor. So much has been missed!! "

Dee

(24-13-2012)

"Neither The Hour nor Shadow Line in best drama series!! Madness. And who watched Appropriate Adult - uuuggghh,"

Jen

(24-13-2012)

"I may adore Martin Freeman as John Watson but Andrew Scott HAS to win. He was beyond amazing as Moriarty."

Charlie

(24-12-2012)

"I really do not see how Sherlock was not nominated for mini series. It wasincredible. At least the acting talents have been recognised. All actors was superb. Some people *cough* Mitch *cough* have no taste."

Beth

(24-12-2012)

"Did you forget about Sherlock? Most definitely the best drama. Did you even watch it?"

jerry

(24-18-2012)

"I am so disappointed that Rupert Penry Jones was not recognized for his work in Whitechapel. Is he not taken seriously because he is so attractive? His performance is subtly brilliant, filled with nuance and originality. Shame on you BAFTA!"

Jasmine

(24-09-2012)

"it is a shame and unfair for Sherlock to lose the nomination of drama or mini drama for its brilliant act and production team in each of the 90 minutes episodes. Definitely a shame for all the British audience and TV industry..."

Di Greaves

(24-09-2012)

"Male Performance in a Comedy Programme - I'm sorry, but Paul Ritter should have at least been nominated for Friday Night Dinner. I don't know who chooses these things..."

sandy

(24-09-2012)

"where are the nominations for downton. the world has gone mad."

Yen

(24-40-2012)

"Definitely a shame for all British and BEFTA not to have Sherlock in the nomination list of drama or mini one..."

sp

(24-14-2012)

"Can't believe Great Expectations isn't nominated at all - what's goin on :-("

Camarel

(24-41-2012)

"I just can't believe that Sherlock isn't nominated.. It is absolutely much more brilliant than S1 and it totally deserves a BAFTA,!!"

Croll

(24-28-2012)

"Sherlock isn't nominated because it doesn't fit into the categories. It is not a Single Drama. It is not a Drama Series (too short). It is not a Continuing Drama (soap). It's been nominated for the audience award and its actors have also been nominated in the prestigious categories. "

M

(24-28-2012)

Jules

"Dame Maggie Smith v Miranda Hart, both fantastic and totally different generations - hard to split them!"

Dan Morrison

(24-19-2012)

"Where is Luther in best mini series? "

C

(24-15-2012)

"I agree with everyone else about Sherlock. Amazed to see Campus and Sirens missing from the Situation Comedies."

Gary Jordan

(24-09-2012)

"best comedy programme in years has to go to mrs browns boys 8.5 million viewers can't be wrong, if mrs browns boys doesn't win a BAFTA following their IFTA win earlier this year then I'll eat my hat."

Mitch

(24-08-2012)

"In spite of the fine work by Cumberbatch and Freeman each episode of Sherlock 2 was overlong, unnecessarily convoluted and poorly paced. Episode 2 was also completely dreadful. So regardless of the change in rules for the Best Drama category, I fail to see how Sherlock should be considered for a nomination. And don't get me started on Andrew Scott's spectacularly misjudged performance as Moriarty."

Tia

(24-22-2012)

"It's a shame that Sherlock is no longer eligible for Drama Series, under the new rules (requires 5 new episodes), but I'm slightly disappointed it wasn't nominated for Mini Series. Then again, there is a lot of competition in that category. Better get voting in the Audience Award then! Watching the ceremony is going to be tense!"

Sam

(24-14-2012)

"I'm gobsmacked Sherlock wasn't nominated. Without doubt the best drama I've seen in years and this series was even better than the last which DID win. Puzzled???"

Gail

(24-13-2012)

"Ridiculous that you have failed to nominate Sherlock in either best drama series or mini series - what were you thinking about?"

Sabrina

(24-05-2012)

"I cant understand why Great Expectations is not nominated. :-((( "

Maggie

(24-53-2012)

"Is a joke that Sherlock wasn't nominated for more awards! Series 2 was an incredible piece of television!"

Ida

(24-30-2012)

"How is sherlock not nominated! for shame!"

Ala

(24-25-2012)

"Considering season 2 of Sherlock was much better than season 1 which was brilliant enough to win a BAFTA, I assume there must have been a mistake in this year's nominations."

Anna

(24-25-2012)

"Oh god, it's impossible to choose between Benedict C. and John S. in 'Leading Actor' and Andrew S. and Martin F. in Supporting Actor :O So sad that there's no Shercolck in Drama Series... Then I hope that 'Misfits' win, it also is cool :) and why there's only one nomination for 'The Hour'? This series is really good!"

posh

(24-54-2012)

"I'm SHOCKED Sherlock isn't nominated for Best Drama! Slack-jawed and dumbfounded."

sioneld

(24-33-2012)
