Cher Webb, M·A·C’s Senior Artist shares her tips on perfecting your red carpet look...

Layering your lip products will help keep your pout on for hours.

"For strong lips that last all night, start by applying a primer, then apply your lipstick with a M·A·C #188 brush for perfection. Next, blot your lips then reapply a second coat of lipstick. You will be layering your lip products like a sandwich and you will keep your pout on for hours! For statement lips try M·A·C Ruby Woo, a true classic velvet red.

"Before applying any makeup, massage some key products into your skin to brighten and re-texturize. Try M·A·C Prep + Prime Brightening Serum or Prep + Prime Skin, your complexion will have a gorgeous radiant glow and your foundation will be flawless and camera ready.

"To extend your lashes and open your eyes try curling your eyelashes, even if you are not wearing mascara. It opens the eye instantly and make your lashes look longer and more defined. The difference is huge!

"For the red carpet, use a foundation that will stay on for the duration. Try M·A·C Pro Longwear Foundation, its medium coverage lasts up to 12 hours and there is no need for powder, so zero touch ups!

"Keep a pot of lip conditioner in your makeup bag. You can add this to your lips to add a different dimension and also to your cheekbones and eyelids for full sexy party glamour."
