Detailed information about the Arqiva British Academy Television Awards including the Awards schedule and public access information.

The Arqiva British Academy Television Awards rewards the very best in Television broadcast on British screens during the preceding year.

Watch the Awards on TV

Date: Sunday 27 May
Time: 8:00pm
Channel: BBC One

The ceremony will be broadcast on BBC One and BBC One HD on Sunday 27 May from 8:00pm - 10:00pm. After the television broadcast, the BBC show will be available to watch on iPlayer.

Follow the Awards Online

Red carpet highlights, ceremony clips and exclusive backstage interviews from the awards will be available to watch on the Television Awards landing page. All exclusive coverage of the event will be available to view on the BAFTA YouTube Channel.

Winners will be revealed on this website, on the BAFTA Twitter feed and the BAFTA Facebook page as they are announced during the live ceremony.

Public Tickets

Mingle with the stars on the red carpet at the most prestigious night in the television calendar - the Arqiva British Academy Television Awards hosted by Dara O'Briain.

A limited number of tickets were available for the public to purchase from the Southbank Centre website. Tickets are £28 each which includes the opportunity for you to walk the red carpet and sit in the auditorium to enjoy the Awards ceremony.

Access the Red Carpet

There will be areas for the public to view the Red Carpet and share in the excitement of the event as the stars arrive for the evening.

Public Access Information:

  • There will be no access to the public viewing area without a wristband.
  • Wristbands will be available from the public queuing area on the Festival Terrace from 8am on Sunday 27 May.
  • For disabled access please contact Luke Fox (see below)
  • The public viewing areas will be filled from approximately 2 pm by security.
  • Wristbands will be issued by security on a first come, first served basis. The wristband will be placed on the spectator’s wrist immediately and will not be transferrable.
  • BAFTA security will give instructions on the day to help you safely into the viewing areas. They will be dressed in high visibility jackets therefore easy to identify. Please listen to their instructions.
  • There will be random bag searches of all public in the viewing areas in operation so we advise you to bring as little baggage as possible.
  • Please remember that BAFTA cannot guarantee the weather – please dress appropriately.

Disabled Access to the Public Viewing Area:

There are 10 spaces available in the disabled area on the Red Carpet. These places will be issued on a first come, first serve basis. All disabled guests should contact Luke Fox ( lukef@bafta.org / 020 7292 5873) to apply for a place in the viewing area.
