Mark Hill's creative director Jules Holland, demonstrates some classic Awards night hair dos for Lydia Bright and Kate Thornton.
Red carpet hair is all about glamour and sophistication. At the 2012 BAFTA Television Awards we can expect to see plenty of sleek up dos and soft, loosely moving curls. Jules explains that the current trend is for freer, more effortless looking hair which is great news for anyone who wants to recreate the looks at home.

The Side Chignon
In this tutorial Jules talks Kate Thornton through the chignon - a red carpet classic. The aim of this look is to create a low side bun that looks free and effortless, but is crafted and pinned for lasting hold. He uses a Mark Hill Magic Wand
and Work it Girl! Spray
to achieve the look.
Effortlessly Cool
Jules works Lydia Bright's mid-length blonde locks into soft, loose curls for a trendy, effortless look. Heated Velcro rollers add volume at the top whilst manipulating the rest of the hair with the magic wand creates a dishevelled, sexy effect. For a final touch, Flirty Fix texturizing polish
adds definition to each curl.
