Mengmeng Gao | China Scholar 2019 - 2020

Mengmeng Gao, 30, from Guangzhou, China, has been awarded £5,000 to support her MA in Directing and Producing Television Entertainment at NFTS. Mengmeng is being mentored by Ruth Wrigley.

This not only opens a door for me, but also builds a solid and valuable bridge towards the development of my professional vision

She previously majored in Film Directing at the Arts College of Jinan University in China. 

Mengmeng said: "Being one of the student representatives chosen by BAFTA is an affirmation of my professional ability and, more significantly, is a great honour! This is a dream opportunity for many scholars and practitioners primarily because of the opportunities BAFTA presents to its award winners.
