Gaia Ahuja | BAFTA Reuben Scholarship

Gaia Ahuja, aged 21 from London, has been awarded the Reuben scholarship of £9,250 to support her studies for the BA in Acting at the Liverpool Institute For Performing Arts (LIPA). Gaia is being mentored by Maxine Peake.

I am very honoured to have been given a Reuben scholarship, I’m very excited for what my future holds! 

As well as her passion for acting, she is the the founder of a successful creative community collective which showcases local talent in her area (Lambeth) and is an avid writer who is driven by her artistry as an actor to commentate on sociopolitical issues.

Gaia said: "Receiving a BAFTA scholarship will allow me to excel and seize opportunities during my last year of drama school without the added stress of finance. Having a mentor who is already in industry will allow me to gain an insight into what’s to come when I graduate! I am very honoured to have been given a Reuben scholarship, I’m very excited for what my future holds!"
