Marc Williamson

Marc Williamson is a documentary director and producer. His graduation film from the NFTS, shot at Muntham House School boarding school for boys with behavioural difficulties, so impressed Channel 4 that it commissioned Marc to produce a 60 minute version. The Last Chance School was watched by 1.2 million viewers on broadcast and earned Williamson his second Grierson nomination. Since then, he has directed episodes of Royal Marines Commando School, Posh Pawn, Our World War and Channel 4 series NHS: The Cost of Living.

Marc’s Breakthrough Brits highlights have been mentoring meetings with filmmaker Brian Woods and Alex Graham and winning the BAFTA for Breakthrough Talent at 2015’s TV Craft Awards.

I’ve only been able to make the films I’ve made so far by people taking a chance on me,” Williamson says, “so I’m really grateful to BAFTA. I’m hoping it will open more doors for me, so I can keep making the kind of films I like to make.
