Callum Turner

Callum Turner

Callum Turner is an actor who John Boorman described as “a natural” and picked from 40 other young hopefuls to star as the lead in his 2014 war drama Queen and Country, opposite David Thewlis, Richard E Grant and David Hayman.

Despite having no formal training, Callum has been lighting up the small screen since bursting onto the scene in ITV’s Leaving, opposite Helen McCrory and in E4’s Glue from BAFTA-winning writer Jack Thorne.

Callum Turner will next be seen in the upcoming television production of War and Peace (alongside Breakthrough Brit alumna Chloe Pirrie). The highlight of the initiative was connecting with his acting hero Daniel Day-Lewis, and he believes the scheme has given him confidence and “a better understanding of the world that I’m in.”
