Explore the work of master film maker David Lean and travel in luxury courtesy of Orient Express.

To help mark Sir David Lean’s centenary year we are honoured to include a boxed set of high definition DVD’s mastered from the £1 million restoration of original negatives of the black and white Lean films in the Granada catalogue. The set includes timeless classics including 'Brief Encounter', 'Blithe Spirit' and 'In Which We Serve'.

The boxed set will be accompanied by a framed photo of Sir David Lean, the republished authorised biography of David Lean by Kevin Brownlow and a dvd trailer of David Lean films prepared by Tony Dalton.

Also included is a truly memorable “Brief Encounter” for two on the British Pullman, courtesy of Orient-Express. The journey will take you to Blenheim Palace, the home of the 11th Duke of Marlborough and birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. The lucky bidder and guest will be served brunch and Bucks Fizz on the outward journey whilst watching the countryside go by. Upon arrival you will be whisked away on a guided tour of the Palace and the chance to explore the stunning grounds and Palace at your leisure. The return journey will commence with a glass of champagne and a sumptuous three-course dinner with wine.

The journey departs on 2nd August from London Victoria station.
