Short Sighted: Get Your Film Seen By People Who Matter

18 June 13

BAFTA, British Council and Shooting People host are back with our popular annual all-day event on marketing and distributing your short film. This event will take place on Tuesday 9 July at 11.00am at CCA, Glasgow.

So you’ve made a short film…what now? Join many of the major players in short film distribution to talk about each stage of the process of getting your film to international audiences and potential collaborators. Sessions will cover maximising your film’s festival run; working with a sales agent; using the web to build an awareness of your work; putting your film online, and working with brands to fund work and reach new audiences. We’ll also look ahead to the future of short film distribution to ask what new platforms, channels and players are emerging and whether there is revenue to be found.

For our half day event in Glasgow, we'll be joined by Matt Lloyd, Director of Glasgow Short Film Festival; Karen O’Hare, Director of Southside Film Festival; Will Massa, Film Advisor at British Council; Kate Taylor, Exhibition and Distribution Officer at the ICO and BAFTA in Scotland winner, Martin Smith. More speakers to be announced.
