Ronald D. Moore began working in the entertainment business as a member of the writing staff for Star Trek: The Next Generation. Moore joined the writing staff of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine as Supervising Producer and was elevated to Co-Executive Producer the following year. Moore spent five seasons on the series until the end of its successful run in 1999. Moore was then named Showrunner and Executive Producer of HBO’s critically acclaimed one-hour drama Carnivàle before creating the re-imagined series, Battlestar Galactica, and served as Showrunner/Executive Producer of the series, which ran for four seasons. Ron launched Outlander, an adaptation of the international bestselling book series for Starz in 2014. After a successful and critically acclaimed first season, he continues to serve as Showrunner/Executive Producer for the show’s second season, which is currently filming in Scotland.
