More about Our Events

Latitude: White Lightnin' 1PRE-RELEASE SCREENING of White Lightnin’ followed by Q&A with lead actor Edward Hogg

This highly acclaimed, controversial film from first time feature director Dominic Murphy and writer Shane Smith (co-founder of Vice Magazine) is a fictionalised account of the life of Jesco White, the ‘dancing outlaw’. The film comes to Latitude fresh from making big waves at Sundance and Berlin Film Festivals. The title role is played by Edward Hogg, and his love interest by Carrie Fisher (Star Wars).

Fast building reputations as ‘ones to watch’ Murphy and Hogg joined BAFTA on stage following the screening for a Q&A with the festival audience. The film hits UK cinemas in September.

BAFTA thanks Momentum for allowing us to screen this film prior to release.
