BAFTA/Jon PountneyAs part of the BAFTA Group and in line with our charitable status, our principal objectives remain firmly focused on delivering a year-round programme of events and screenings that support, develop and inspire the art forms of the moving image throughout Wales.
Our expanding programme of events range from major industry debates to pre-release screenings of film and TV productions in both Welsh and English languages.
BAFTA Cymru aims to reach out to new and diverse audiences, and with a continuing series of masterclasses led by leading industry practitioners, we are delivering more today of what we believe to be inspiring to audiences.
During the last twelve months, BAFTA Cymru has successfully developed extensive relationships with festivals and creative organisations throughout Wales to produce stand alone events. These events have offered a unique insight to a broad array of creative fields and our continuing aim is to bring the very best talent, films, programmes and master class session from Wales and beyond to our members and the general public. BAFTA in Wales continues to programme regular pre-release film screenings for Members.
We seek to build sustainable partner relations that will help build awareness of our activities, compliment brand values and bring people together through the support and promotion of the creative industries in Wales. The cross section of event supporters continues to demonstrate commitment to supporting the industry and its’ future developments in Wales and BAFTA has developed a sustainable model of collaborative, creative learning and events that come hand-in-hand with industry growth and debate.
Our events as a whole continue to offer an opportunity to share knowledge and engage in debate through a diverse network of organisations and productions companies within the creative, media and related industries.
BAFTA Cymru recognise the importance of Welsh-language Television/Film production in Wales and will continue to promote and organise screenings and special events to new and diverse audiences.
