Find out more about the work of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts in Scotland.
The British Academy of Film and Television Arts is the leading UK charity supporting developing and promoting the art forms of the moving image.
Since 1989, BAFTA has continued to specifically champion the film, television and video game industries in Scotland by celebrating excellence, championing new Scottish talent and reaching out to the public.
How do we do this?
Screenings and Events
We offer an ongoing programme of Screenings and Events to our members and the public. In 2009 alone we held 69 Screenings in Scotland of the most exciting, entertaining, unusual or controversial American, British and foreign language productions.
Our annual one-day festival, Scottish Students on Screen, is packed full of screenings, workshops and masterclasses offering film students everything they need to know about getting into the industry.
As well as providing invaluable learning tools, the event, run in partnership with Scottish Screen, is designed to foster stronger links between education and the moving image industries.
We could not do all this alone and we are extremely grateful to the dedicated individuals who offer their time and expertise.
Thanks is also due to the range corporate partners and sponsors throughout Scotland who support our ongoing work.
