Looking forward to celebrating the Awards on such a special occasion, Allison Dowzell, BAFTA in Wales Interim Director, says: “This is a landmark year for BAFTA Cymru and we have some exciting plans and a few surprises up our sleeve for this year’s special event. What better way to celebrate our 21st Birthday other than to recognise all the time, energy, determination and hard work that goes in to making and producing creative media, TV and film programmes in Wales."

Special presentations will also be made on the evening for the Siân Phillips Award and Lifetime Achievement Award. The nominations for the Gwyn Alf Williams Award for best programme or series of programmes which have contributed most to the understanding and appreciation of history in Wales are Fishlocks Wales, Wyneb Glyndwr Lions 71.

BAFTA in Wales is also delighted to announce its Primary Event Sponsor for this year's awards will again be NEP Cymru and we are delighted at its continued support. We also welcome Gorilla as a Key Event Sponsor - a valuable addition to our family of sponsors. As a special birthday present to the Welsh film, TV and Media industry, BAFTA in Wales will be releasing industry tickets to this year’s awards ceremony for a significantly reduced £75.00 per person and £50.00 for members. Allison Dowzell, BAFTA in Wales Interim Director adds: “The 2012 ticket price makes the Awards accessible to all those who have made a contribution to the industry. BAFTA in Wales are also aware that significant proportion of the Film and Television industry in Wales are small businesses and freelancers, who often pay out of their own pockets to attend.”
