Patrick Connolly: Reporting from Focus on UK Film at Hamptons International Film Festival
"Doing" the Festival
Here in the Hamptons life is not all fun and games. Okay, well, that's not true, it really is. But "doing the fest" requires planning, cunning and queuing.
One has to find the films one wants to see, line them up with the other films and panels one wants to attend and then see if time and distance will allow for all this.
Oh, and PARTIES! How do you fit in the parties?! The stress. Oh my God, the stress!
I started with my own excel spread sheet I created on the jitney from New York City. So much to see and do, something has to give. And it is usually sleep.
Then with tickets in hand…
(once you have picked them up)
You are set to go. And go. And go. But fear not...sponsored champagne waits at the end.
