Finance CommitteeChair: Jeff Cotugno MISSION: To maintain oversight of the Academy’s finances. Develop and administer appropriate and successful financial plans and procedures to ensure the present and future financial health of the Academy while operating within the framework of the BAFTA in New York Inc’s by-laws and overall mission statement. |
Television CommitteeChair: Charles Tremayne MISSION: To produce entertaining events that showcase British television programming and television trends and introduce British talent to American audiences. The focus is also to educate BAFTA members on challenges facing the television industry on both sides of the Atlantic through panel discussions, screenings and one-on-one evenings with particular guests. |
Film CommitteeChair: Liza Burnett Fefferman MISSION: To provide our membership with an environment that fosters the education and advancement of motion picture arts through film screenings, Q&A’s, panel discussions and other events. This may include panels addressing film development or finance and associations and co-events with other film based New York organizations, festivals and events. |
Screening CommitteeChair: Jill Hawkins MISSION: To develop and manage an exciting and dynamic program of screenings throughout the year. Through the Screening committee, develop relationships with studios, distributors and PR companies to introduce BAFTA New York Members to the widest range of new studio and independant films, Q&As and film themed events; commitment to a continuing program of exciting technologically advanced event management systems to enable a smooth and member friendly registration system designed to provide all member categories with access to the greatest number of all screenings using sophisticated wait listing and cancellation systems. Educational Outreach/ChildrensChair: Linda Kahn, MISSION: To work with schools and college groups to expand the role of BAFTA New York in the community. Activities include film screenings for community groups, developing scholarship and mentoring programs for undergraduates in NYC area. |
