2010 Television Comedy Photo Shoot

The 2010 BAFTA Television Awards commissioned photo shoot by official BAFTA photographer Jay Brooks ; entitled 'When You're Smiling', featuring an array of British comedy TV talent.

Jay Brooks:
"I spent 3 days in the basement of The Gore Hotel in Kensington shooting a selection of British comedians for BAFTA in 2010, hard work and long days but I loved every minute. The Chris O’Dowd shot had begun as a much wider frame of him sat amongst slightly deflated balloons and an abundance of wilted streamers, the perfect setting for a bad party. Chris has such great expressions that we began shooting closer and closer until it was practically a head shot. I loved that he took a bite out of the pork pie even though warned against it, it had been sat under the lights all morning but he tucked in like a true pro!!!’
