An iconic American movie star, Widmark came to prominence as giggling psychopath Tommy Udo in Kiss Of Death (1947). His range was subsequently demonstrated in such films as Panic In The Streets (1950), Pickup On South Street (1953), The Alamo (1960), Judgment At Nuremberg (1961) and The Bedford Incident (1965).
