Enjoying long term collaborations with Richard Lester, Tony Richardson, Franco Zeffirelli and Norman Jewison, Watkin’s films include Help! (1965), The Charge of the Light Brigade (1968), Catch-22 (1970), The Three Musketeers (1973), Chariots of Fire (1981) and Out of Africa (1985). He also lit Jesus of Nazareth (1977) for television.
