A legendary Swiss born film distributor, Velaise also executive produced films including The Wrong Arm Of The Law (1963) and The Go-Between (1970). He headed MGM’s European office before the war and managed movie theatres in the US, before setting up Vauban Productions which handled film rights to classic movies.
